TRD Gobyz
The TRD Gobyz, as its name suggests, is a lure that imitates a goby. The lure is densely packed at the head end to ensure that it stays vertical, head down, although the lead head also ensures this position. In this way, it imitates a fish feeding on the bottom, revealing its belly.

For mounting, a Ned Rig lead head makes the whole thing interesting, like Z-Man's Nedlocks HD, or any other similar model. The important thing is to use this type of head correctly.
But it can also be mounted on a soccer head or as a drop shot.

The tail is small, but shouldn't be cut so easily, thanks to the elasticity of Z-Man products and its famous patented ElasZtech.
For the moment, the TRD Gobyz is available in 8 rather similar colors, based mainly on khaki, brown, black and purple.

Use
The first fish species to target with this lure is, unsurprisingly, black bass, in areas where gobies are present, as they are part of their main diet.
For targeting perch and even pike-perch, this goby imitation is also very appropriate to use. It imitates a small fish burrowing along the bottom, and comes in handy when you want to work a lure in one place for a long time, such as under a tree or along a bridge pier.
My opinion
In the same spirit as Megabass' Dark Sleeper, in terms of the desired resemblance to a goby, this lure, with its Ned Rig mounting, brings a different, slower and above all vertical approach.
This combination is ideal for fishing rocky substrates and riprap, the preferred habitat of gobies.
It's also smaller in size, to better match the size of the gobies in different areas. It's a good complement to the traditional worm, which can be used all year round.
