Meiho
The strength of Meiho boxes is their great strength! From my experience, often what breaks with this kind of plastic box is either the lid, the corners or the hinge. On the Meiho, these three sensitive parts are very strong.
The plastic from which these boxes are molded is soft and thick, which allows it to absorb shocks and not break at the slightest impact, as would be the case with a hard plastic. In addition, the corners are rounded to increase their strength.
The lid has a very particular shape at the back, with a triangular part that protects the hinge. It is this precise point which makes a big difference between the Meiho boxes, and many other boxes which one finds in the trade, which have a less long lifespan.
A product that may seem as ordinary as a plastic box, is in fact just as complex and improvable. You can feel that Meiho has carefully studied its product to make one that will last over time.
Meiho offers a wide range of products to facilitate the organization of fishing equipment, such as special spinner baits boxes or cases, rather for boat fishermen.
Among this large choice, I like the Slit Form Case and the Versus. They are light and solid series, very practical for anglers on foot or who do not want to be bulky.
Slit Form Case
The Slit Form Case series by Meiho is characterized by a foam bottom for hanging lead heads or flies.
In my case, I diverted their first use by removing this foam, so I get a box with maximum space inside.
Versus
The Versus range, also called VS, is made up of compartmentalized boxes. These compartments are modular with a groove system, which allows to place the compartments as you wish.
Among this range, the 3020 NDDM, with its dimensions of 255x190x60 millimeters, represents a good size to store large lures, without being too bulky.
My opinion
I have owned these boxes for over seven years, and they are not broken. However, I mistreat them, they spend their time between my backpack, the pockets of my float-tube and my travel bag. Despite all these transports, they are still there and intact! They are good products that you can rely on.
