Presentation and behavior of the oblade
The oblade spends most of its time near the surface, looking for small forage fish. It is a very aggressive fish, especially since it moves in schools of many individuals and thus creating a strong food competition.
The size of the fish in a school is very heterogeneous, with several generations of fish moving in one group. The large individuals separate from the small ones only during the reproduction period.
Very opportunistic, oblades do not hesitate to get close to humans in the hope of recovering the smallest pieces of food that would fall into the sea. Also very curious and territorial, they can often be observed following swimmers or divers.

The fishing of the oblade with the lure
In order to fish for the dorado with a lure, you must try to imitate its feeding habits as best as possible. The mouth of the bullhead is small compared to its body, so it can not feed on large fish. These favorite preys are generally very thin and from 3 to 7 cm long. But the oblade is not shy and does not hesitate to attack bigger fish.
Lures can be used in rough sea conditions, where they love to hunt. Swimbaits from 5 to 9 cm work well when they are moved quickly under the surface. You can also fish with surface lures to select large individuals. Small soft lures like shad are the most effective, if possible in natural colors like blue, white or gray.

Fishing for slug with bread and bait
The oblade takes advantage of the summer season, in the harbors or near the anchorage areas of boats, to devour everything that can touch the water.
It will be possible to fish with bread, an extremely effective and fun technique. A single or triple hook of small size, a stick and the trick is done. All you have to do is to bait an area and to throw our piece of bread on the hook in the middle. The oblades will grab it easily if it is small and you will enjoy great fights.
It is also possible to fish with different verses as well as the dough. Don't forget, once again, to initiate the area on the surface to group the oblades on your shot. Pay attention to the resistance of your material, because the fights can be very intense!
