Catching an active fish is easy, but when they're undecided or you can't find the right presentation, it's a different story... The regularity of your season depends much more on your ability to adapt and solve the second situation than to take advantage of the first when it arises!
1-Powerfisher
When you don't get any bites, the first option you can implement is not to try and decide on apathetic fish, but to look for those that are active and therefore much easier to get bitten. You need to cover as much ground as possible and be methodical. Use fast-fishing lures, make a few methodical fan casts, starting from the bank and fishing all layers of water from the surface to the bottom!

2-Be aggressive
In the same spirit of fast fishing and prospecting, use reaction lures, i.e. lures that can withstand fast animation, provoke strong vibrations and are often noisy and in bright colors.
Combine this with rather aggressive and fast animations; remember that the aim is to find fish in full activity and therefore ready to pursue a lure and attack it... Or possibly to provoke a reflex attack in an inactive fish, and in this game, this type of animation is unrivalled for getting them to react!

3-Downsizer
When powerfishing doesn't work, I go back to the spots where I suspect fish are present and reduce the size of my lures. The aim is to fish wider and target a majority of species.

4-Fish very slowly and scrape
In the same spirit, we're going to return to more natural lures in terms of color and sound; the first strategy aimed at reaction attacks not working, we're going to try to seduce them. At the same time, we'll be fishing much more slowly and close to the bottom. As predators don't seem to be willing to make much effort to attack a potential prey, we need to offer them an attack opportunity they can't refuse!

5-A complete change of spotlight
When nothing works, sometimes you have to conclude that the body of water you're fishing is completely off, and rather than insisting and looking for solutions, the best thing to do is change location, either to another similar body of water, or to a completely different biotope. In this way, you can move from a pond to a river or the sea, from deep rock heads to shallow, current-swept plateaus.

6-Give up... But to come back!
Giving up is never satisfying, but it can be a solution... In one and only one case, when you have several slots available and the possibility of coming back at another time. In this case, let the water rest and come back under different conditions. Changes in temperature, light or weather are often decisive factors in the activity of carnivorous fish. Particularly in midsummer, after a dull, sunny afternoon, the evening rush can trigger a frenzy of activity.
