Sweet corn, a seed highly appreciated by carps, has nevertheless major disadvantages including its non compatibility with PVA materials (soluble materials). When we approach fishing from the shore, we very often use soluble bags or nets to accompany our mounting. In particular, in cold water, when the spawn, catfish or crayfish are less active, sweet corn often proves to be formidable. However, its humidity melts the PVA. So how can we counter this phenomenon?
My trick consists, before introduction in the soluble bag, in making the natural liquid of the sweet corn PVA friendly by adding an attractive liquid such as Squirtzes which are, as said before, compatible with PVA.
How to proceed?
1) Pour all the sweet corn into a Bait Box.

2) Pour the Squirtz of your choice. No need to put too much. Just fill in the bottom of the Bait Box. That'll do just fine.

3) Close the Bait Box and shake it vigorously.

4) Select the soluble bag of your choice, adapted to your fishing.

5) Your sweet corn is saturated with PVA friendly liquid (in Squirtz here). So you can fill your soluble bag. It does not melt!

6) Cut so as to make two ties that can be tied.

7) Close your bag according to your assembly.

This way of saturating sweet corn for use with PVA is just one of many. I am indeed a fan of Squirtz which has an incredible number of uses but other methods can be used: salt, powdered sugar... The main thing is to believe in it and especially that the liquid of your sweet corn becomes PVA friendly by saturation.
