From October 11 to 31, 2026, the FFPS Carnassier is organizing ?October Fish,? a charity competition held entirely online. Open to anglers in France?whether licensed or not?this initiative supports the charity Soeurs d?Encre By Rose Tattoo.

Recreational fishing is joining the Pink October campaign. For the first time, the FFPS Carnassier is participating in this campaign with an event open to everyone: October Fish. The concept allows participants to take part from their usual fishing spots, without having to travel to a single competition site.

From the shore, in a boat, or with their feet in the water, participants can practice all the techniques announced by the organizers. The competition takes place on the Fish and You app, with registration set at 5 euros for the entire event . A Big Fish prize will be awarded for the best catch of each species listed in the rules.

Supporting Women After Breast Cancer

Beyond the athletic challenge, October Fish has a charitable mission. All proceeds from registration fees will be donated in full to S?urs d'Encre By Rose Tattoo , an organization that supports women affected by breast cancer through artistic and reconstructive tattoos.

This approach helps them reconnect with their bodies after their illness. By combining a recreational activity with this cause, the FFPS Carnassier invites anglers to add an extra dimension to their fall outings.

The online format expands opportunities for participation: both recreational anglers and competitive anglers can join the same event, regardless of whether they have a federal license.

A charity raffle held at the same time

A raffle will round out the competition, with several prizes to be awarded. Among them are a custom-made cane, valued at 1,500 euros . Another opportunity to join the movement and support the initiative.

Registration for October Fish is open on Fish and You until the end of the event, which is scheduled for October 31. Participants are encouraged to review the rules to learn about the eligible species and the procedures for validating catches.

With this first edition, the FFPS Carnassier is bringing the community together around a shared goal: to enjoy fishing while helping support women who have survived breast cancer.
