A Grand Return to Lake Parentis-Biscarrosse
After a one-year hiatus, the 2026 Esox Cup returns on Sunday, November 8, on the waters of Lake Parentis-Biscarrosse. Organized by the AAPPMA of Parentis-en-Born, with Mercury among its long-standing partners, this competition will bring together up to 100 teams of two anglers, fishing exclusively from boats, with a single goal: to catch the finest pike.
With its 3,500 hectares and population of trophy-sized fish, this lake in the Landes region is a prime destination for predator anglers. A unique feature of the site is the 42 oil wells that dot the landscape.
?10,000 for the winners and ?25,000 in prize money
The Esox Cup is thinking big for its 2026 edition. The organizers have announced more than 25,000 ? in prizes, including a 10,000 ? check for the winning team.
The top ten teams will be rewarded with fishing trips, guided fishing days, gift certificates, and experiences in France and abroad. A special prize will also be awarded for the largest pike caught in the competition.

A Qualifier for the Mercury Fishing Cup V
But the big news for this edition concerns the winners? future in the sport. The FFPS Carnassier will award the winning team a spot in the Mercury Fishing Cup V, scheduled for the second half of 2027.
An initiative that signals a desire to bring the major independent competitions and the federal circuit closer together.
Since the Mercury Fishing Cup serves as the qualifying event for the French Boat Predator Fishing Championship, this qualifier represents a real opportunity for competitors looking to continue their progression toward the highest national level.
The goal is to build bridges between French regattas, so that the best crews can earn their place on the water and take on new sporting challenges.
A major event for pike anglers
With its exceptional prize pool, renowned fishing spot, and opportunity to compete at the national level, the 2026 Esox Cup has everything it takes to be the highlight of the season.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, November 8, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. The briefing and distribution of vests will take place the day before at Accès Nature in Biscarrosse.
The registration fee is set at 150 ? per angler, or 300 ? per team.
This year, winning the Esox Cup will mean much more than just a ?10,000 check: it will earn the winner a spot in the 2027 Mercury Fishing Cup and the chance to take the next step in national competition.
