The 50% discount is not automatically available throughout France. It depends on the participation of the AAPPMA and departmental federations. The cartedepeche.fr website specifies that the offer is limited to associations that have chosen to participate.
The price varies by department. In several federations, the card is priced at around 43.50 euros, compared to 87 euros for a standard annual pass. In the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, for example, the fall 2026 pass is priced at 43.50 euros and will be available for purchase through December 20.
What are fishing rights?
The fall license offers the same privileges as the annual ?Adult? license. It allows you to fish?subject to local regulations?using bottom fishing, feeder fishing, carp fishing, predator fishing, fly fishing, or lure fishing.
However, it does not exempt you from complying with regulations: open seasons, minimum sizes, quotas, the number of lines, protected areas, and specific fishing routes remain in effect. Nor does the license constitute a general authorization to fish anywhere in France.
Be mindful of reciprocity
The discount applies to the card itself. It does not necessarily include additional options or interdepartmental reciprocity. In some departments, a specific sticker is required to access trails operated by other nonprofit networks.
It is therefore important to check the access requirements before going fishing in another department. The fall license may be sufficient for the waterways managed by the AAPPMA you?ve chosen, but not for a nationwide fishing trip.
