Access to the RecFishing application requires a personal login EU Login . This is the European Commission's official authentication system. This identifier enables secure access to European digital services.
Step 1: access the EU Login portal to create an account (from a PC)
The account can be created from a computer, tablet or smartphone.
For this example, the screenshots come from a computer to easily juggle between computer and phone steps, as you'll see below.

For create an account follow these steps:
- Go to https://ecas.ec.europa.eu/cas/login
- In the top right-hand corner, click on the "English (en)" drop-down list and choose "English (en)" french (fr) "
- Click on " Create an account "
Step 2: Fill in your information
The form requires :
- first name,
- surname,
- electronic mail (email),
- language of choice.
A personal email address is essential. It will serve as your main login.
Step 3: Create your password
A message is immediately sent by email. It verifies your e-mail address. Click on the link to create your password.
Do it as soon as possible, as you have a maximum of 24 hours from the time you send the email.
Once you've chosen your password, you'll be connected to EU Login.
Leave the page open on your computer and go to your phone.
Step 4: Install the EU Login application and register your phone
To simplify the process, we recommend installing the EU Login mobile application.
Android :

Apple: search for "EU Login" in the App Store.
Once the EU Login installed, keep the home page open and return to your computer .
Step 5: On the EU Login site, add your phone
On the computer click on the cogwheel in the upper right-hand corner next to your name, and then click on " " My account ".
Click on " Manage my mobile devices ".
Click on " Add a mobile device ".
Select information from your smartphone:
- Device name define a simple name without spaces or accents for example "TelephoneThierry".
- 4-digit PIN code 4-digit code you choose and use on your phone.
Confirm and return to your phone's application.
Step 6: Link your smartphone to the EU Login application
On the EU Login application, click on " Register my device "then " Continue "then " Continue ".
Then scan the QR Code visible on the computer.
Then enter the 4-digit code you have just defined.
Once the application has been associated with the account, the EU Login identifier is operational. It can be used to log on to RecFishing and to carry out annual registration and catch declarations.
