Weekly material / Daiwa 2026 catalog: an update on new products to discover

The Daiwa catalog is out and the new products for 2026 are already available from your retailers. We have selected a few promising products from the carnivorous, sea, trout and feeder sections. We think you'll like them!

For three years now, the cover of the Daiwa catalog has been sea-oriented. But of course, all worlds are represented throughout the 310 pages. Last year's practical addition was a small pictogram showing the favorites of the Japanese brand's Field Testers. The numerous technologies are well explained, and prices are always indicated.

Reels: range developments

Daiwa has built its immense success on its reels. The Exist 22 for freshwater and the Saliga G 2023 for sea remain the flagships of the catalog, costing in the region of 1,000 euros. At a lower price, the Ballistic Air and HD, Caldia, Prorex MQ and SilverCreek X ranges incorporate new technologies (Airdrive Design and Airdrive Rotor). Beginners or occasional anglers will be won over by the Crossfire LT 2026, available in sizes 1000 to 5000 from 39 to 49 euros. Unrivalled value for money on the market. Quantities are limited until May 2026.

I also noted the appearance of a new Tatula for finesse baitcasting, the Tatula BF, for ultra-light fishing with very fine braids (less than 6 hundredths) and lures accordingly (2-5 g). Its 180 g and 3.5 kg drag will set you back around 259 euros. Conversely, those aiming for big pike with lures weighing +100 g will be seduced by the PT 300 with noisy ratchet drag weighing 13 kg.

Feeder anglers are not left out with two promising new choices: the Team Daiwa 2025 for large cyprinids and the more versatile N'Zon LT 1015 for fish at a distance. No revolution for carp or surfcasting, but the Saltiga 25 for exotic fishing gets a welcome facelift.

Cannes: Exceler in every sauce, Legalis at mini-prices

As is customary at Daiwa, rods and reels share the same names. The Exceler Toc is lighter than ever. The Exceler Casting has Fuji guides and new power ranges. In particular, there are 5 single-ended models specifically designed for black bass fishing. The Exceler Travel has also changed its rings. The Exceler Spinning series has also been redesigned, with 24 models to cover all freshwater predator fishing needs at less than 100 euros!

On the sea side, the Labrax Seabass that I had the opportunity to test and approve in 2024 during an outing off La Rochelle integrates 3 new lengths and power ranges for a price of 419 euros. The 2.90 m version will make good use of the edge! Once again, Daiwa is thinking of small budgets with the Legalis Seabass: 19 references for prices between 64 and 94 euros, a great new feature for 2026! The same goes for the Legalis Squid, 9 rods including a baitcasting version, from 74 to 89 euros.

Lures: two major arrivals

Daiwa is launching spinnerbaits this year, with one paddle (13 g), two paddles (14 g) and one paddle on a short arm (14 g). Colors are limited for the moment. The Prorex Lazy Roach RD is a real eye-catcher, this ultra-realistic soft lure with integrated weight and (simple) rigging is a very easy-to-use "ready-to-fish" lure: in 12 cm for 29 g and 16 cm for 56 g. Expect to pay around 10 to 13 euros. The rest of the range is based on solid references such as the Tournament Wise Minnow, the D'Minnow and the Slim Shady, which has become a benchmark for pike-perch fishing.

The 2026 catalog is only available online paper versions are reserved for retailers. Finally, since June 1, 2025, Daiwa's after-sales service has been open to private customers for all overhauls and repairs on reels from the Japanese brand, via a dedicated platform .
