First Paris round on Saturday
On Saturday, October 11, 23 pairs will meet on the canals in the heart of the capital for the third round of the French Street Fishing Championship. It promises to be a difficult round. The perch don't seem to be responding very well, and the large pike population doesn't make it clear what strategy to adopt.
And it was the CALU/GASNIER duo who came out on top, not without success. In fact, between the balls of perch, they managed to lure three providential rainbow trout with light texas and drop shots.

They were followed by the ROJO-DIAZ/FOURCADE duo, who also lured a rainbow and managed to land a nice pole zone on the second half of the run, when everything seemed "off".
Third place goes to outsiders COMBEAU/LANDREVIE
Just behind, LOEUILLET/CUVELIER snagged 4th place ème place.
In fifth place are the two youngsters LOURADOUR/LOURADOUR, who are sure to be among the favorites soon.
BARA/JAUMOTTE, already very good in Charleville, signed a fine score sheet, including a 44 cm pole!
The BINET/VIDEAUD and SEGUIN/BONTEMPELLI pairs came out on top with respectable 8 points respectively ème and 9 ème places on a clearly difficult day.

At the end of this round, the cards are reshuffled and the scores are tight for the title of French champion.
CALU/GASNIER and SEGUIN/BONTEMPELLI are tied on 12 points, behind BINET/VIDEAUD on 13 and BARA/JAUMOTTES on 20. Sunday's final round will be decisive.
Sunday on the Seine
On Sunday, competitors from the UPP (Union des Pêcheurs Parisien) competition met on the banks of the Seine to share the fish. It's difficult to give the scores for this round, given that the competitors didn't have access to them, priority being given to the Parisian date ranking and the French championship.

Nevertheless, the young LOURADOUR/LOURADOUR team completed one of the very few perch quotas with authority, fishing barges with light texas.
ROJO-DIAZ/FOURCADE once again came up trumps with perch and a huge 83 cm pike-perch lured while searching for perch and put out to dry after an epic battle between a barge and a quay in a very small space!
CALU/GASNIER remain solid with 13 nice medium-sized perch, lured with alternating drop-shot, light texas and vibrating blade.
The BARA/JAUMOTTE duo were also present with 14 fish, including a pike-perch just netted.

Once again, BINET/VIDEAUD and SEGUIN/BONTEMPELLI fail to build on their success in Charleville-Mezière. ROJO-DIAZ/FOURCADE, on the other hand, will surely pay dearly for their false note on the second day in Charleville-Mezière...
The outcome of the French Street Fishing Championship
For this round in Paris, CALU/GASNIER take first place.
In second place, we find the very promising LOURADOUR/LOURADOUR, very regular and in control on perch, followed by ROJO-DIAZ/FOURCADE also solid on perch and well helped on Saturday by a rainbow and on Sunday by an exceptional pike-perch in street fishing.
In the French championship, the CALU/GASNIER pair won. Regular participants in the championship, they made up for their poor ranking in 2024 in the best possible way.
In second place in this championship, we find other world champions, SEGUIN/BONTEMPELLI, still present. These highly experienced anglers managed the difficult phases perfectly, limiting the damage in Paris.
Finally, BARA/JAUMOTTE, who have been very consistent throughout the championship, managed to take out BINET/VIDEAUD (5 ème ) from the podium, taking third place in this highly competitive French street fishing championship.

Now it's time for the Street Fishing World Championship in the USA, at GreenBay, on October 24 and 25, 2025!
