Honda Marine France at Grand Pavois Fishing 2024
Already present at the 2023 edition with 2 teams, the Japanese brand has renewed its commitment to the organizers of the responsible "No Kill" competition, which took place over two half-days over two rounds, on October 4 and 6, 2024 with 3 Honda Marine motorized teams. The Grand Pavois Fishing 2024 marina was fully booked with 34 teams registered for the competition. This year, Honda Marine supported the teams of its dealers, Toni Marine, a partner with the Grand Boat France brand present in the south of France (83), and Seudre Service, present in Royan (17).
New ambassadors
Honda Marine Ambassadors, Honda sailor-fisherman since 2012 Julien Fesseau is passionate about nature and responsible fishing, which he began in 1991. Since then, he has gained in experience and fishing technique. He became a professional fishing guide in 2015 and has been guiding lures for carnivorous fish abroad (Ireland and the Netherlands) for several years now.
"For me, the partnership was an obvious choice after all these years of sailing with Honda. I do 500 hours of sailing a year on a Honda, and it's a pleasure and a guarantee of serenity on every outing," assures Julien.
For his part, Clément Pouthier, a 22-year-old from Saône et Loire, is an up-and-coming professional fisherman, also passionate about freshwater fish. He has been fishing for nearly 19 years, and boat fishing for the past ten. A committed fisherman, he advocates "no kill" fishing to preserve river species and raise awareness among novices.
Clément Pouthier: "I've always dreamed of having a boat equipped to fish and compete, and I'd like to become French boat fishing champion. This partnership with Honda Marine gives me the training I need to get closer to that goal.
Through these ambassadors, Honda Marine aims to convey a positive image of responsible sport fishing. 60 years ago, Honda chose to invent a 4-stroke engine to preserve the environment in which fishermen operated. Today, Honda is determined to keep up this momentum and actively support fishermen who respect the waters and the species that live there.
