I have tested... / The Xela Shad is a fun and effective newcomer to the market

It's never easy to make a name for yourself on the fishing market with a new lure, because there are so many to choose from. If this is true for the big brands with their many marketing weapons, it's even truer for small and new structures. Here's a new soft lure that has already proved its worth in the field before hitting the market.

History

The Xela Shad is a lure designed a few years ago by a Norman crafter for personal use. After several requests from anglers, its creator, Alex (hence the Xela Shad...) decided a year ago to produce it on a larger scale and to trust the Rodhouse company to distribute it.

A sandeel profile

Fishing in Normandy regularly takes place on large sandy areas where sand eels are plentiful. That's why Alex chose to create a tapered lure logically reminiscent of the shape of this fish.

For durability, but also to produce fast, dynamic vibrations, the Xela is designed in a tonic rubber. Combined with a small paddle resembling a diver's fin, it produces a tight, energetic stroke that has no equivalent on the market today.

For sea bass, while it is obviously effective for waddling as is regularly done in Normandy, it excels just as much on light pulls, scratch fishing or simply line fishing!

Lightweight and hydrodynamic

The slender Xela shad is a particularly light lure that cuts through the water very well. As a result, it sinks quickly to the bottom and does not require a powerful rod to be worked. What's more, its hydrodynamic profile makes it easy to fish vertically, making it extremely formidable on leaches.

3 models

The Xela Shad is available in 3 sizes: 10 cm, 14 cm and a new 14 cm version, with a thicker, more imposing profile that has already proved its worth on bass and pollack, of course, but also on bluefin tuna, particularly the pink color!

The Xela shad comes in 8 different colors, from natural to flashy, to match the mood of the fish, but also the color of the water and the weather conditions.

An attractive price

The Xela Shad is now available exclusively from the Rodhouse website at a very attractive price of 7.90 euros for the 10 and 14 cm (4 and 3 units per pouch) and 12 euros for 3 lures for the Xela Big Shad 140.
