New Osarda shad from Caperlan

Sea bass fishing with shad gives good results and the new Osarda soft lure is well worth testing. Caperlan offers an improved shad to make it more versatile and adaptable to any situation.

A good foundation

We all knew the old Caperlan Osarda lure. This was a swimbait with the sinker integrated into the body. It proved its worth, but also had its shortcomings in terms of strength and lack of versatility in bass fishing techniques!

Don't panic, Décathlon Caperlan is treating us to a new shad that's not based on the same principles and promises good times on and off the water.

Un paddle caractéristique
A distinctive paddle

The good recipes of the first version have been carried over, namely its strong vibration and its characteristic little paddle. On the second Osarda, Caperlan has improved the front end by adding a lead head, this time on the outside. We're now on a more classic shad, but this modification has the advantage of offering greater performance and, above all, more versatility in animation techniques.

The main idea behind this shad is to have a paddle that vibrates strongly. It will be particularly useful and interesting when conditions are a little muscular, with either tinted water or a sea that is very marked. We know that in these conditions, high vibrations are a real plus that fish are looking for.

Different sizes for different uses

The Osarda comes as a combo of two lures in two sizes, the 8 cm in 7g and the 10 cm in 17g. This package is ideal for both shore and boat fishing.

The 8 cm will be ideal for going right over the oyster beds. A good, fast line will crack the bass hunting in these areas, but also more slowly between the tables to piss off the bass hiding under the oysters.

The 10 cm, on the other hand, will allow you to cast harder and longer to explore larger or deeper areas. In particular, it's the ideal weight to tease out the chases that are triggered around us as we fish. But the configuration of this shad also predisposes it to nice wide pulls under which its tail will create nice vibrations. A perfect complement to the fine lures that are particularly effective at the start of the season.

Différents coloris pour l'Osarda
Different colors for Osarda

In terms of colors, classic ayu, sardine blue, pearly white (which I love), but above all a new golden glitter green that I prefer, especially in bright conditions to create beautiful luminous sparkles in the sunlight.

As for price, the combos are really well placed, with the large size at ?8 and the small size at ?6.

In short, a new soft lure that will surely be in many boxes (at least in mine) and that will fish for sea bass, but not only!
