Squid season is approaching and it's time to prepare our jig boxes for winter. The Emeraldas Nude is a very interesting jig for its different properties from a classic jig on the market.

Presentation of Emeraldas Nude

L emeraldas Nude is a jig available in 3 different sizes, each with a different sink rate. The smallest size, 2.5, weighs 10 grams and sinks one meter every 5 seconds. The intermediate size, 3.0, takes 4 seconds to sink one meter, weighing 14 grams. Finally, size 3.5, weighing 19.5 grams, sinks quickly, with only 3.5 seconds per metre.

There are 11 different colors to suit every situation. In shades of pink and orange, Pink Ebi, Orange Ebi and Burning Shrimp are partially transparent, high-contrast colors. For fans of flashy colors, the Glow Matte Pink and Glow Matte Orange will be formidable for evening strike fishing. Finally, among the natural colors, we find Glow Stripe, almost totally transparent, but with phosphorescent stripes. Colors like Real Maiwashi or Real Kibinago are extremely effective for daytime fishing or when squid are feeding on specific forage fish.

Particularly attractive assets

The Emeraldas Nude has a number of special features that are immediately apparent. First of all, this jig does not have a fabric body like most jigs on the market. To the touch, the Nude feels like a sardine or anchovy, which are very slippery fish. This smooth body also means better casting distances for the same weight as a cloth jig, as friction in the air is greatly reduced. The same is true in the water, where the jig sinks more easily with less weight.

This glide also makes for much wider jerks during animation, as the jig is not braked. Don't forget to leave some slack for a second after your animation to let the Nude do an almost half-turn, particularly effective for triggering a strike.

A complementary jig

Of course, a squid or cephalopod fisherman's box can't be made up of just one model. The Nude allows you to complete your box with its unique assets. It's particularly effective on windy days when casting distance counts. Imitating a particular prey item, be it forage fish, rock fish or shrimp, is very simple thanks to the highly realistic colors.

The Emeraldas Nude has a small diamond-shaped pearly coating on the back which reflects light and allows cephalopods to target their attack on the back of the jig, increasing our chances of biting them.
