Lead heads, often specific to particular techniques, play a fundamental role in the presentation of your lure. With so many on the market, the choice of this accessory can sometimes be the subject of many questions, including price, for demanding and fussy anglers.
Each fishing technique requires its own animation, but often also its own equipment.
A hydrodynamic head
Compared with its competitors, this lure has a sharper, triangular profile that gives it a more streamlined appearance and a more hydrodynamic character. This profile gives the lure an excellent descent to the bottom.
A flat face
This triangular profile is due to a greater width than on other models at the point where the lure bonds with the soft lure. This flat face offers resistance to the water during the pulling phase. It is this resistance, combined with the shad's mounting, that induces the famous rolling movement. The "wiggle" of your lure is then accentuated and it ostensibly shows its sides during animation.
What's more, this characteristic induces a large volume of displaced water and therefore a strong signal for predators.
Perfectly suited to nitro shad
HY Concept are nothing less than the initials of Houssais Yvon. When you consider that he and his son Yoann are famous sea bass anglers who love the Illex Nitro Shad, it's obvious that the proportions, angles and volumes of this lure are perfectly in tune with its characteristics, making it a must-have reference when fishing with a pull.
A wide range of grammages
HY Concept lead heads for traction are available in 5 weights ranging from 20 to 45 grams.
Available in two hook sizes
Designed by an angler for anglers, these lead heads are available in two different hook sizes for a wide range of weights, enabling them to be adapted to shads of various lengths.
A very competitive price
The last but not least strong point of this lead head is its particularly attractive price compared to the competition. Indeed, prices at my usual dealer range from 1.50 euro to 2.50 euros, depending on the weight chosen.
