This day of the Fête de la Pêche is a free introduction to fishing and its various techniques. It's also an opportunity to discover and raise public awareness of the aquatic environment and its biodiversity, which is so important to preserve. Even if recreational fishing represents the leading outdoor leisure activity in terms of the number of people who practice it, it remains important and necessary to promote our practice to initiate new generations in search of discovery.

This day to promote fishing is open to everyone, whatever your age. It's a totally free day out for a good time at the water's edge.
This Sunday, June 4, 2023, in accordance with article L436-1 of the French Environment Code, people taking part in activities organized by leisure fishing associations to mark the Fête de la Peche may fish without holding a fishing licence.
