Hydro minnow Lc
The hydro minnow is a floating jerkbait minnow designed to find beautiful fish. Its short lip makes it move under the surface, about fifty centimeters under it, with a tight swim and pronounced rollings.
This jerkbait minnow is available in two sizes, 15 and 17 centimeters, for 34 and 48 grams, respectively. Between the two models, only the size changes, the swim and the depth reached by the lure remain the same.
The hydro minnow is equipped with an internal mass transfer that allows it to reach very good casting distances, even in windy conditions. Its balance is good and it evolves as well in stagnant waters as in the most powerful currents.
This hydro minnow is offered in several colors very oriented to sea fishing. There are white variations and imitation colors, including an imitation mullet and another sardine, which should please sea bass fishermen!
Robust
The strong point of this lure is its very solid design. Its body is made from ABS which gives it good resistance to shocks. It is equipped with sturdy snap rings and strong triple iron hooks.
Right out of the box, it is ready to be used to catch nice fish. On the 15 centimeters model, I replaced its original rigging by singles in size 2/0 which fit it very well, they do not change its swimming nor its ability to float.
My opinion
I discovered this lure a short time ago and I am already fully satisfied. I gave it a rough time on some payara fishing in Colombia and it came out very well. I liked its solidity, its capacity to swim in the current and the very good distances that we can reach thanks to its internal mass transfer. Moreover, it is offered at a reasonable price.
It is a good solid lure, with which it is possible to attack a large number of predators. Among them, in the sea, the bass and the barracuda are its favorite targets. In fresh water, it is up to the task of dealing with pike, payara, the peacock bass or papuan bass.
It is a versatile lure, capable of responding to many different situations.
