Sylvain Duvinage -Hello, my name is Sylvain Duvinage, I am 56 years old, I graduated as a guide 25 years ago... I moved to Ireland in 2000, where I worked for a French tour operator. I then developed fishing for this tour operator and set up two fishing centers in the west of Ireland. I have guided for many years in Ireland and managed the guides on site.
During all these years, I travelled a lot, either to take clients fishing or to do reports for the specialized press.
I returned to France in 2007 where I set up as a guide in the central Pyrenees. I then developed my activity in France and in Spain.
In 2011, I decided to set up my own travel agency in order to continue my activity in Ireland and to propose other destinations.
Tell us about Nomade Pêche?
Sylvain Duvinage -I created the Nomade Pêche agency in 2011, while continuing to guide in the Pyrenees and in Spain. Ireland being our flagship destination, I have undertaken to develop other destinations such as Spain, Sweden, Finland, Guadeloupe, Costa Rica, etc...
And then in 2005, I started to develop France, which today represents 35% of our turnover. During the confinement, we also created a specialized site for gift certificates.
Today, where is Nomade Pêche ?
Sylvain Duvinage -Nomade Pêche, it's about ten destinations abroad, and a big network of stays all over France. We offer many "gift vouchers", a fishing weekend or a simple day with a guide. We propose about twenty destinations in France. We offer stays at very affordable prices and customized stays.
Can you present us these stays abroad dedicated to fishing?
Sylvain Duvinage -First of all, Ireland, where we are present for 6 months from April to the end of September. We fish for pike, trout and salmon. We have accommodations adapted to the various requests: cottages, guest houses. We have 3 French guides on site with a nice fleet of boats. You can come and spend between 2 and 6 days of fishing, or even more. In our packages, you always have at least one day of guiding included and a real fishing assistance. We welcome 300 clients each season.
Spain with trout fly fishing in the central Pyrenees and on the Costa Brava. Stays with a few guided days and days in full autonomy. Packages including half board in hotels, licenses and fishing permits. We also offer pike fishing in Extremadura, with a one-week guided trip. For the fishing of carnivores (pike perch, pike, black bass), stays with accommodation in a cottage on the waterfront and half board in the months of May, June, September and October.
In Sweden, we offer several stays. We have a French guide on site who takes care of everything. We propose mainly pike trips with the possibility of salmonid trips. Stays at 3 hours from Stockholm for the beginning and the end of the season, and in Swedish Lapland from June to early September. A formula with one to three days of guidance, accommodation in a cottage, fishing license, fishing assistance and techniques (lures and flies for pike, lures for salmonids).
In Scotland, we offer several fully guided weeks of fly fishing for trout in May and June.
In Portugal, you can make a stay at 2 hours from Porto, supervised by a French-Portuguese guide. Stays of 5 or 6 days guided by boat, with fishing mainly for black bass and pike perch. We offer 5 weeks per year in spring and autumn.
For exotic fishing trips, we propose Costa Rica, Guadeloupe (mangrove fishing) and the Bijagos. Different packages with accommodation, meals, transfers etc...
What are the fishing trips offered in France?
Sylvain Duvinage -We propose about twenty destinations in France. We select the best in France. All these trips are supervised by the guide of the fishing area.
For carnivorous fishing, we propose days or stays from one to five days in a fully equipped boat. These stays are made in the best French lakes, like the lakes of the Landes, the lakes of the East (lakes of the Orient forest, lake of Der, lake of Madine) or on the lake of Bourget and some lakes of dams of the central massif.
The trout fishing stays are also proposed in our catalog, we propose essentially courses of initiation or improvement of fly fishing, with the various techniques of fishing. Stays with or without accommodation in the Pyrenees, the Massif Central, in the PACA region, in Normandy and in Haute-Marne.
Finally, we offer fishing days at sea by boat for lure fishing. The targeted fishes are the sea bass, the tuna and the shark.
