Easy to cut
To do this, using a chisel or knife and a board, you will cut a fairly wide, and long, triangle-shaped strip.

Then, on the widest part, I'll set my hook. The hook is set in the wide part of the strap and the remaining part of the line is cut into a point.

To keep it on the line, we'll use some bungee cord that I'll wedge between my thumb and the strap. Simply wrap the strap around it.
Air-filled bladders
The trick is to make small balls filled with air, which will allow, when you throw your bait, to make it rise to the surface. In order to have a better presentation.
To be most effective, make small pellets every centimeter, all along the squid strap. Make on average 4 to 5 to be at the top. Always start from the top and work your way back down to the hook, otherwise your fingers will get in the way. Do not hesitate to go back up to accentuate this air bubble.
It is of an assured effectiveness, we feel that there is enough air inside when we press on it. The termination is not complicated, since on the last part, you just have to make about ten turns with the elastic, then break the elastic.

We can see very well the bubbles, the successions of air bubbles that will allow the bait to float, and thus maintain it well above the bottom.
Now you know a trick for floating your natural bait. Now all you have to do is hit the beaches to get some nice fish.
