Available in 11 different strengths, from 13 to 99 Lbs, the sufix 832 braid is suitable for many applications. It can be used for vertical pike-perch fishing as well as for tuna fishing in the open sea!
The Sufix 832 braid is available in 4 different colors: olive, chartreuse, multicolor and blue. Among them, I find the chartreuse and multicolor colors very successful and pleasant to use. This color lasts well over time and does not lose its shine quickly.
The neon lime color is clearly visible.
8 strands
This braid is made of 8 strands. It consists of seven strands of Dyneema® fiber, which is a fiber commonly used to make ropes. The eighth strand is made of Gore® Performance Fiber. This high performance fiber is made of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE). The inclusion of this fiber greatly improves abrasion resistance, reduces friction and increases the life of the braid as a whole. Its tight braiding of 32 crossings per inch gives it a well rounded shape, which makes little noise in the rings. The multicolor reference allows the measurement of the braid length.
On the sets I use continuously during the season, a braid spool lasts me 3 to 4 years. Occasionally I have to cut off the first 2 to 3 meters because they are degraded. But in general, it has a very good life span. Moreover, it does not break without reason and resists knots very well. If it does break, it is always at the knot.
Price
With a price starting at 19.90 euros for 120 meters, this braid presents an excellent quality/price ratio. It allows you to fill your reels at an interesting price, especially since it is durable and efficient!
Olive green color.
My opinion
I discovered the Sufix 832 braid over ten years ago. After several disappointments with other brands of braid, I was looking for a good braid. I first used the 50 Lbs version to fish catfish with lure. It gave me complete satisfaction, and since then, I use several references of this braid, between 20 and 80 pounds.
It is mounted on my spinning and casting sets, intended for pike, catfish as well as for strong fishing abroad, such as for tarpon and peacock bass.
No matter what kind of fishing you do, it's important to have a braid you can count on, and this one doesn't fail me. It combines casting performance, very good strength and durability. I've been using the sufix 832 braid for more than ten years, on strong and demanding fishing and I'm very satisfied with it.
