Presentation
The round jig head is available in 2, 3.5, 5, 7, 10, 12 and 15 grams. However, I will only discuss the 2 and 3.5 gram models, which are very well suited for ultra light and rockfishing.
This jig head is not perfectly round, there is a flat on the front. This allows it to stand upright when placed on the bottom, so it doesn't fall on its side. This is perfect when you want to take long breaks with the soft lure on the bottom.
The hook is of good quality. It is fine iron and its curvature is large, which is essential for this technique in order not to miss the bites of small fish. Even if it is fine iron, it is solid, does not twist easily, and with a properly tightened brake, it is possible to take out fishes of several kilograms without worries.
Finally, there is an anti-weed included in the bag, which can be installed or not.
Use
I use this lead head in its light versions, 2 and 3.5 grams. I find this lead head perfect for ultra light fishing, with lures from 1.5 to 3 inches. Whether it is from the shore, in a boat or in a vertical position, I find that this head presents the soft lure well.
My opinion
Decathlon offers a product with an excellent quality-price ratio! The lead heads, like the soft lures, are considered as a consumable, which means that you can quickly lose them at the bottom of the water. With a price of about 0.50 euros per unit, depending on the weight, Decathlon offers a good quality product, which does not hurt the heart to lose. I have been using this product for several years and I am very satisfied.
