An easy to use lure
Even if I see fishermen around me using poppers, it is a lure that I don't particularly like and that I find unpleasant to use. However, the feed popper has convinced me and is one of the few poppers that have found a place in my lure boxes. I think what I don't like about the popper, except for the exotic poppers that are very noisy in general, is the lack of noise and the fact that you don't know if you are using it correctly or not.
The feed popper 135, on the other hand, emits a low, well audible sound which confirms me in its use, because it is easy to adjust its way of animating the lure to obtain the right sound.

Looking at it, you would expect to have to exert a lot of traction to make it popper, but in the end, moderate force is what works for it, as too much pressure makes it lift off the surface of the water.
A solid lure
The lure is very beautiful and inspires solidity. Moreover, the broken rings and the original hooks are very well made. The only thing, but this is not a reproach to Takle House, is that the lure does not accept a simple hook set up.
You really need to find the right balance by trying different hook styles, to get closer to the original action of the lure, which is really dependent and designed to work with the original hooks. Single hooks of size 4/0 are the closest to its original balance. This makes it a lure designed for nice sized fish.

Another of its appreciated characteristics, is its high density. It casts really well, at a good distance and tolerates the presence of waves, these do not hinder too much its efficiency to be popped.
Mostly used at sea
I use this version of the feed popper for striped bass research. It is the ideal bite for this species, casts very well and makes a noise that makes the fish react. This lure is also interesting for other marine species, such as small jacks or bluefin tuna, species on which its effectiveness is recognized.

My opinion
The feed popper is the lure that reconciled me with popper fishing, so I can only recommend it, it is solid and easily animated. It's a good lure to have, for beginners as well as for more experienced fishermen.
