An area renowned for its bass fishing
The Glénan area is one of the most famous areas for French sea bass fishermen. The Glénan islands (without an "s" at the end, it's Breton) are located about ten miles off the coast of South Finistère.
The Glénan islands are an archipelago of 9 main islands with white sandy beaches and countless islets bathed by often translucent waters. The area inside the archipelago is shallow and protected from the swell. It is famous for light fishing and all the techniques called "finesse".

The outer areas are deeper and much more exposed to the swell and are perfect for heavier fishing.
A fishing trip in video
Romain Marion and Bruno Pebe are regulars here. In this video, you can follow them during a morning of sea bass fishing between the chamber (the name given to the heart of the archipelago, the shallowest and most protected area from the elements) and the exit channels formed between the different islands.

The X-Layer from Megabass and the One Up Shad from Sawamura that they use in this video are among the great classics to catch fish regularly in this area, but Romain and Bruno also regularly use hard lures like the Asturie from Xorus, the Vision Oneten from Megabass or the Hacker from Duo...
We can already announce that a new video will soon be online on the channel Youtube Ultimate Fishing and that we will meet Bruno and Romain in Les Glénan on very different and much more agitated areas.
