An association with many fishermen
The association Team River Clean, is a non-profit association of about 80 ambassadors located throughout the territory. It is a collective of volunteers (fishermen at the base, but also walkers, cyclists, hikers, hunters), which organizes waste collection at the edges of our rivers, our lakes, and our canals located on all France and in some other countries.
The parent association is located in Toulouse, and was created by its president, Pascal Levigne, in 2019 and has since grown.
All over France
The whole team is now located all over France, with about forty departments, and 80 ambassadors to represent it, but the association is also now present in Canada and in Guadeloupe.
In order to expand and grow in the regions, the Team has since this year decided to create departmental branches in some regions of France, by declaring themselves as associations attached to the parent association. Three branches are currently being tested (in the departments 54, 37 and 08).
The Team is looking for partners and sponsors to finance its actions in favor of the environment and to make it possible to manufacture its eco-citizen bags, made of recycled material. These bags are used for individual waste collection on collection days.
An association that gets involved
The team also participates in events as partners, during various fishing contests and fishing shows in different places in France. They also intervene in schools, to explain the life of the waste and the impact on the environment.
There is also an application, with which the association Team River Clean is a partner.
It is called TRASH-SPOTTER. It allows to receive in real time, signals, which allow to make interventions on a large scale.
