Battles between two fishermen

A Trout Area Cup competition is usually held on small lakes. It is a competition only dedicated to lure fishing. The fish to be caught are rainbow trout whose sizes can vary depending on the competition. For thrill seekers, there are competitions dedicated solely to the search for big fish, the so-called "big fish" competitions. The rounds are held with two anglers on the same spot. The winner is the angler who catches the most fish in a given time.

Strict respect of the fish

Modern competition, the Trout Area Cup advocates respect for the fish. To be counted, the fish must be put in the net and returned to the water without being touched by the fisherman and without having touched the ground. Specific equipment can be used to facilitate the task, but above all barbless hooks are required. A good way to make all participants aware of the practice of "catch and release".
