MC Technologies will no longer distribute Lowrance products in France. A hard blow for the Quimper SME specialized in electronics and marine computing.

Kent Marine Equipment, new distributor in France

It's official, the NAVICO group, the world's largest manufacturer of marine electronics instruments and owner of the Lowrance, Simrad, B&G and C-MAP brands, has signed a partnership with Kent Marine Equipment for the distribution of its various brands and products in France. This change in distribution is effective since January 1, 2021 and covers France and the territories administered by France.

« Added value for our customers »

This is what Alain Pakiry, Commercial Director of Navico, said, adding that " this partnership will enable us to provide high quality services in line with our premium brands. Customers will benefit from technical support, improved after-sales service, fast logistics and product availability. »

The beginning of a new era for Kent Marine Equipment

Founded in 1974, Kent Marine Equipment, a member of the Alliance Marine group and headquartered in Saint-Herblain, France, is a company specializing in boating with a strong experience in the distribution of technical marine equipment for the recreational boating and professional marine markets.

The consequences for MC Technologies

Even if no information has been communicated for the moment, one can easily imagine the heavy consequences for the Breton company MC Technologies given the fact that the Lowrance brand, which enjoys a strong reputation on the marine and freshwater leisure fishing market, was both very closely linked to its image and represented a significant part of its turnover.
