Suzuki Marine France mobilizes young people for Earth Day

To mark Earth Day on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, Suzuki Marine France is organizing "Clean up the World", a vast campaign to collect waste in the marine environment as part of its Clean Ocean Project environmental program. For this edition, the brand is stepping up its commitment by involving young people from partner sailing schools in field actions on the beaches of Le Havre, Les Minimes in La Rochelle and La Grande-Motte.

Since 2010, this initiative supported by Suzuki Motor Corporation has already mobilized more than 23,000 people around the world. In France, children and teenagers from La Ligue de Voile de Normandie , La Rochelle Nautique and Akila Grande-Motte are actively involved in the fund-raising campaign, alongside Suzuki teams and local dealers.

Waste reduction and collector

The scheme is part of a wider environmental initiative, both in the field and upstream of the production chain. Suzuki has reduced its industrial plastic waste by 128 tonnes by replacing certain packaging with cardboard and paper. The brand has also developed a microplastics collector integrated into its 115 and 140 hp outboard motors, and has waived the rights to its patent in order to promote its distribution.

For Karine Rolen, Business Manager at Suzuki Marine France, "In the year 2026, we have chosen to amplify our mobilization by involving a wider circle of contributors. Soliciting our partners who are in daily contact with young people seemed a natural step. We're delighted to be able to count on La Ligue de Voile de Normandie, La Rochelle Nautique and Akila Grande-Motte, whom we support year-round in the organization of their respective activities.
