The Black Bass Ligue 2025 is the official support for the French Championship in lure fishing for black bass, organized by the Fédération française de pêche sportive carnassier. It is contested in pairs and determines the French champion team in the discipline.

Format of the 2025 French Black Bass Championship

The Black Bass Ligue takes place over two two-day weekends, for a total of four rounds, with team fishing by two anglers per boat. Rankings are based on fish caught and released, with specific sporting regulations published for 2025 by the FFPS Carnassier.âeuros

A 2025 calendar disrupted by the weather

In 2025, the championship became part of the Fédération Française de Pêche Sportive Carnassier national calendar, with several dates originally planned and dedicated to black-bass boat fishing, including the Black Bass Ligue.

After an intense round marked by sportsmanship and fair play on the grounds of Marans in south-west France, and a round cancelled due to poor weather conditions on the grounds of Fongrave and a prefectoral decree prohibiting all navigation as soon as the flow exceeds 300 m³/s, the rankings are now known.

The official rankings for the 2025 French Black Bass Championship are as follows:

  • 1st place: Weill-Garza 10319 points
  • 2nd place: Cretois-Marchegay 9476 points
  • 3rd place: Lamazière-Bouvier 7375 points

Congratulations to the anglers who reached the podium, and to all the competitors.

See you next year for another edition of the Black Bass Ligue.
