First contact and launch
From the very first touch, you'll sense that this lure with its distinctive inverted caudal design is not a fragile model: the rubber is dense and solid, capable of resisting the teeth of pike, yet surprisingly supple, allowing it to remain natural in the water. Available in 3 different sizes (100 mm âeuros 125 mm et 150 mm ), the Pit swimmer is offered in 6 complementary and essential colors. The gum is scented with aniseed, not too strong, to break down any odours from manufacturing solvents. Perfect characteristics for a lure designed for pike, but also for many other freshwater and saltwater predators.

At first cast, the lure surprises with its stability and long-range ability. Even when mounted weightless it never turns over and remains perfectly balanced, unless you retrieve excessively fast. The lure's density is well distributed, allowing it to glide through air and water with equal ease.
The interesting thing about Pit Swimmer in weightless rigs, when you release the retrieve, the lure adopts a slight wobbling action, like a small, disoriented fish wobbling on its way down. In the classic leaded rig, the lure's tail drops as soon as it makes contact with the surface, making it fishy from the very first moment. These specific features make this lure totally capable of triggering reflex strikes, making it active every second.

The reverse paddle stroke
In continuous recovery, the Pit Swimmer remains extremely stable, almost without rolling, but with a large amplitude of caudal beat. This generates a high volume of vibrations, perceptible even in the rod and highly attractive to predators. Even at low speeds, the lure is noticeable, which is particularly appreciated for pike fishing in winter, when you need to slow down the pace, but also for vertical pike-perch fishing, offering a subtle and effective presentation.

The famous inverted paddle, which may come as a surprise, comes fully into play here: the tail reacts to the slightest movement and remains effective at all speeds. Its curved shape amplifies the tight beat of the tail, accentuating the propagation of vibrations in the water. Even a small current or a simple quarter turn of the crank is enough to "wake up" the lure and create an attractive signal immediately perceptible by the fish.
Its credible swimming action, stability and volume of vibrations make it a formidable tool for any angler who likes to analyse the swim, play on pauses and feel the lure in his rod. Bites are clean and often powerful, and the lure can withstand several attacks without deteriorating.

Fixtures and preferences
With different sizes available, the Pit Swimmer is designed to meet the needs of both specific pike anglers and multi-carnivore anglers, giving it an all-purpose character that is not to be underestimated. This principle is further accentuated by the fact that it is designed to be rigged in different ways: Shallow rig: ideal for shallow areas (available already rigged), Texan leaded: perfect for passing through obstacles or lightly scraping the bottom, or Classic leaded head: for going deeper and controlling the lure in the current.
A word of advice: avoid weighting it down too heavily, so as not to restrict the natural movement and wobbling that are part of its effectiveness.
