EZ-Q Dartmaster Rattle

As the year 2025 draws to a close, manufacturers present the new 2026 eging products For some time now, eging has been taking up more and more space in brand catalogs. In these few articles, I present the new 2026 eging products distributed by Flashmer. I start with the Duel EZ-Q Dartmaster Rattle. It's a lure that concentrates various cutting-edge technologies designed to increase efficiency in the search for cephalopods and squid in particular.

EZ-Q Dartmaster Rattle, imitate the sound of shrimp

Under the body of the jig there are protrusions which vibrate with the movement of the lure. This imitates the movement of a shrimp's legs as it swims, providing a visual and sensory effect on the cephalopods, which feel the vibrations emitted - the Patapata Feet Light. I don't know if squids have ears, but this jig is equipped with rattles that reproduce the sound of shrimp in the water, because, yes, a school of shrimp makes noise. That's the Internal Rattle Balls auditory effect.

To reduce the risk of snagging on the bottom, the double basket is positioned much higher than the head when the lure is swimming, thanks to the positioning of the sinker on the head of the jig - this is the Snagless Sinker. The overall shape of the lure's body perfectly mimics that of a shrimp, reinforced by abdominal segments which also generate waves when the lure moves - this is the Wave Motion Light Body effect.

The double basket is equipped with a UV finish, increasing its visibility and increasing the attacks on the basket, thus reinforcing the effectiveness of this jig, the Trick Hook effect with UV. And for even more visual effect, this jig emits flashes of light to be effective even in turbid or low-light waters. This is the Neonflash Technology effect found on several models in the range.

Triggering attacks

This jig is designed to be handled with a series of jerks, triggering light signals at the slightest touch. Available in sizes 2.5 for a weight of 10g, 3.0 for a weight of 14.5g and 3.5 for a weight of 19g.

Over 20 different colors are available, the ones shown are the NLM references for the green and the NRBW reference for the orange, which only comes in 19g.

Recommended retail price: between ?14 and ?17, depending on model and retailer.

Personal opinion

The EZ-Q Dartmaster Rattle are jigs with a beautiful finish. I was able to do a session this morning and the conditions were ebb tide with a coefficient of 98. With the rain of the last few days, the water was green and turbid. I started my session with my usual Tataki rig. Only one cuttlefish in almost an hour of fishing. I then replaced my bottom jig with this green Dartmaster, fast animation by tapping the lead on the bottom and jerking several times to make the noisy balls jingle. Several squid, including some pretty ones, and two cuttlefish came to bite during the next hour.

I don't know if it's the sound or the color, but for a first launch it's pretty good, to be confirmed on future sessions.
