Hello Clément, could you introduce yourself to our readers?
I'm 23, I live in Saône-et-Loire near Chalon-sur-Saône, I'm part of the Pro-Staff Honda Marine France freshwater team. My main fishing techniques are power fishing, vertical, linear and a bit of Sharp shooting.
Can you tell us about your early days in fishing?
I started fishing with my father and grandfathers when I was very young. Then, when I was around 5/6 years old, I started casting my first lures and got hooked right away. Then, from the age of 10/11, I started boat fishing with my father.

When, how and why did you agree to become a Pro-Staff?
I approached the brand because I really like Honda engines, for several reasons, including their reliability, robustness and performance. To these qualities I would add low-frequency silence, which makes for a more pleasant and discreet approach to fish.
What does being an ambassador mean to you?
To be a Honda Marine France ambassador is to have fulfilled a childhood dream, to wear the colors of Honda Marine or another brand that you particularly like on social networks, in competition and quite simply on the water. It also means defending the common interests of the brands. Honda Marine has always wanted to protect the fish environment with 4-stroke technology. It's important for me to support fundamental values linked to my passion.

What's your fondest memory or anecdote from your time as a Pro-Staff?
My fondest memory as an ambassador would have to be the day I received the Honda Marine engine on the boat and tried it out! I didn't quite realize what was happening at 21. Having a Honda engine was a dream, and the best possible instrument for practicing my passion.

What do you think of fishing in France?
At the moment, there's a lot of debate about live fishing, and I think you simply have to move with the times. It's just a passion, you can't get hung up on it, you have to use new technologies wisely. Go fishing with family and friends and just enjoy yourself, whatever fishing technique you use.

Any advice for anglers who want to join a Pro-Staff team one day?
For those of you who would like to become a Pro-Staff one day, I have just one piece of advice: have fun! Then share your shots on several social networks, and with time, it will come if you're good at it.
