The Kerhy family was born of the innovative spirit of Yvon Houssais, a renowned angler with an impressive track record, creator of innovative lures and sinker heads. Starting in 2019, Kerfil will partner with Yvon Houssais to launch the famous Kerhy Shad.

Over the years, the Kerhy Shad has evolved to suit anglers' needs. A lure now available in 3 sizes (100, 120 and 160 mm), with 6 different weights (from 7 to 85 grams) and offered in 7 different colors. The Kerhy Shad is an atypical lure that adapts to most animations, linear, pull or vertical. A Breton lure for sea bass, of course, but also for many other species such as pollack and meagre, and which works very well in freshwater on various predators, pike-perch, perch and pike.
A large family of lures and suitable sinker heads
The collaboration between Yvon Houssais and the Kerfil company didn't stop there. The result is the Kerhy Fat, a lure with a stockier profile and a soft rubber that displaces a large volume of water while emitting strong vibrations. After extensive testing, this lure impressed with its strong rolling effect. This year, it is finally available to all sea and freshwater fishing enthusiasts, in 5 colors and with special 30 or 40 gram lead heads.
In addition to the Kerhy Fat, Yvon also devoted his talent to the development of a jig head perfectly adapted to the bodies of the Kerhy Shad and Kerhy Fat, specially designed for tuna fishing. This is how the Kerhy Thon range came into being, offering anglers a complete solution for targeting this powerful and sought-after fish. High-performance, sturdy lead heads fitted with Mustad hooks and integrated ball swivels, available in 80 and 120 grams to take on exceptional fish.
The Kerhy family never stops! Working alongside Yvon Houssais, the development of these different shads is constantly evolving to suit anglers and fish. So, since this summer, new Kerhy Shad colors, as well as Kerhy Fat with painted lead heads, are available in stores.
