About Alterplast
Alterplast is a plastic boilermaking company located in Morbihan (department 56), more precisely in Muzillac. Alterplast specializes in the manufacture of tanks (Altertank), including black water, gray water, clear water and fuel tanks. Made-to-measure tanks in mechanically-welded HDPE.
Alterplast also manufactures portholes. Whether flat or shaped, we can make identical parts that are no longer available. We can also make specific parts totally adapted to the needs of yachtsmen and recreational fishermen.
Naturally, the company decided to put its know-how at the service of anglers, and decided to create a specific fish tank for sport fishing.
Why develop a breeding ground dedicated to sport fishing and therefore to fishermen?
At the request of our customers, we have produced very basic livewells for their RIBs. At the Grand Pavois 2023 boat show in La Rochelle, we were able to identify a marked interest in this type of product on the part of sport fishermen. We were naturally stimulated by design and product development. And following discussions with Édouard Auzanne, workshop manager at Armor nautiques, who had also identified this need, we began to draw up specifications and to put down on paper the first sketches of a suspended livewell. As the discussions progressed, I designed a much more accomplished piece, culminating in the drawing of the prototype. We produced a prototype designed to fit immediately behind the bolster of a Zodiac pro7.
After a few hours of machining, assembly and welding, the prototype is delivered to Armor Nautiques, who will install it on the new boat for which it is intended, to the great satisfaction of its owner, a fishing enthusiast.
