Ingredients that are easy to obtain
Here's what you'll need to make this tench bait. The list is very simple and succinct, blonde breadcrumbs, ground cookie, PV1 gingerbread, ground baby corn and bird food.
Let's start with the blond breadcrumbs, which come from the crushing of wholemeal bread, the crumb and the crust. It is white in color with splinters of brown coming from the crust of the bread. It is the base of the primers. When wetted, it absorbs a lot of water.
Then, the ground cookie. Russian cigarette type, this fatty and sweet product has a medium granulometry which makes it ideal for all your recipes for big fish.
Let's continue with the PV1, which means Vegetable Protein of first quality. It is an essential and very well known flour which is intended for bottom baits, and more particularly for the fishing of beautiful fish. Still called sticky cake, PV1 is made with various cereals mixed with molasses. A pV1 was originally intended for cattle and horse feed. This very rich product is both sweet and sticky. It is generally used to modify the stickiness and nutritional value of a bait, either before or during a fishing trip.
Gingerbread, is a flour of choice for groundbaits when trying to catch tench, its smell of honey and cinnamon allows it to be very fragrant. Moreover, of dark color, the gingerbread is appropriate for all the baits of bottom.
The baby corn is a flour with a strong sticking power and a rather important granulometry. The baby corn is very used for cold water fishing. This product is made from young corn, i.e. harvested before it is fully matured. The corn is then gorged with sweet milk. In the form of flour, it will be one of the most useful and valuable ingredients during the cold seasons to attract fish.
Finally, the bird food. Of the type "parakeets", in French food for bird, it is an important element in the preparation of the recipes of baits.
Easy to make
You have to put :
- 300 grams of light breadcrumbs
- 100 grams of Russian cigarette type ground cookie
- 100 grams of ground or sliced gingerbread that you can crumble on a sieve
- 100 grams of PV1 to bind the primer
- 100 grams of ground baby corn
- 50 grams of bird food
Place everything in a blender and blend in a little water, then mix everything together. Always use a large container to facilitate wetting. For the 750 g of dry flour, I use 400 ml of water. I recommend putting them in two batches because we are using rather sticky ingredients.
In the end, this gives us a nice grainy, not too light colored leader. Beautiful tench love this color with all the bird food points.
It is a rich, sticky bait. Corn, cut worms, dead maggots and cooked hemp seed can be added to it.
