Hello Leslie, can you introduce yourself to the readers of Fishing.news?
Leslie Dubois -My name is Leslie Dubois and I am 36 years old. I have been fishing since I was 7 years old, I started by fishing in the APPMA of Beynes in a small pond below my house.
My favorite fisheries, today, are those of the pike perch and the perch in linear and vertical mainly.

When, how and why did you agree to be a Pro-Staff?
Leslie Dubois -I joined the Pro-Staff Rodhouse team about a year ago during a phone conversation with Goulven. At that time I had a real desire to ride my rods.
You could say that I am a beginner of rodbuilding, but the virus worked very quickly and I am already at about fifteen rods mounted.
What does being an ambassador mean to you?
Leslie Dubois -For me, being an ambassador means first of all being passionate about the brand you represent. It is to want to share this passion. It is also to be able to answer to other fishermen and to advise them as much as possible.

What is your best memory, or anecdote, as a Pro-Staff to share with our readers?
Leslie Dubois -I already have some very nice anecdotes as a Pro-Staff at Rodhouse even if I joined this beautiful team only one year ago.
The first two anecdotes are fishing trips with other Pro-Staff, great convivial moments shared while fishing. Between the beautiful catches of tuna bass, the snack and the evening after, it leaves lasting memories.
Another memory is an outing with friends, one of them didn't have his rods and I lent him two of my rods, one vertical (68mx) and one linear (my statement 724). I have the memory to have seen him taking a lot of pleasure with these rods and to make a lot of fish with them. So much so that he didn't want to give them back to me in the evening.
Seeing a friend having fun fishing with my own rods makes for great memories.
How do you see the fishing industry in France?

Leslie Dubois -I am rather pessimistic about fishing in France, especially in fresh water, fisheries management, the mentality of our elected officials, some fishermen, global warming, lack of water, etc. ...
We can see from year to year that things are getting worse. Fortunately, some AppMA are doing a great job with evolutions on the legislation. For example, not to open the pike fishing during the spawning of the pike-perch which remains very vulnerable at this period, seems to me to be a good idea, as well as the implementation of catch windows.
I am more optimistic even if I am far from being a specialist on the population of sea fishes like tuna that we see coming back little by little since a few years or sea bass.
Any advice for anglers who want to join a Pro-Staff team one day?
Leslie Dubois -Concerning the Pro-Staff universe, I think that we should not forget that we practice a leisure that allows to escape and to spend a good moment of sharing, all that is only fishing. We are not professionals but enthusiasts.
I think that to join a Pro-Staff team, you must first and foremost be in tune with the spirit of the brand, the people who work there and the equipment it offers. It's first of all a pleasure to use its products and if a collaboration must be done, it will be done naturally.
