Enjoy the weather
After a month with nine days of 100+ km/h winds, it's good to get the kayak back in the water. I was looking forward to the moment when I could get back on the water. A lull in this autumn weather, I didn't need more, the kayak was always ready. The forecast having announced this calm day, I had to go back. If only to say goodbye to my labrax friends.

Indeed, the 2022 regulation does not allow any more removal from the end of November, only the fishing release will be allowed. But as this is the period when the sea bass will return to their spawning grounds, we leave them alone. From this date, we switch to other species that have their spawning period later, such as sea bream, pollack, cod or cephalopods.
Swimming fish fishing
For this farewell day, I planned to get the legs going, because a month without an outing is not good for the heart. So it will be a fishing with swimming fish, with a prospecting in different heights of water to see where the fish is located. As soon as I got in the water, my legs were running well and I found my automatisms. The weather is clear with a nice sunrise, there is no wind and a coefficient of 95. I took advantage of this coefficient to go and have a little break on the foreshore to pick up some sweets for the evening meal.
The fish are present, the water is rather turbid, I thus use noisy swimming fish. The first fish will be taken on a mega pink flash, in 5 meters of water, 10 meters from the edges. A fish just meshed that will quickly return to its element after the souvenir photo. As usual, as soon as I catch a fish, I rake the area with a soft lure. The turbidity of the water will probably prevent me from finding some fish with this method, but I will have tried.

So I left for the harbors dragging one of my favorite lures, the Deep Diver crystal from Yo Zuri in sardine color. This lure swims between 3 and 6 meters deep and its holographic coating sends a strong visual signal. It's what you need when the water is cloudy and it doesn't miss. I chain several catches on the way to the foreshore where I will land. Fish a little bigger, in the 45 to 50 centimeters, already well rounded and ready for their winter job. All this pretty world will return to the water.
A bit of fishing on foot

The coveted foreshore area is starting to open up and it's time to settle down. I will search for an hour before the snack. A few well-calibrated oysters, scallops, an abalone, a nice shell and quite a few bunches, enough to make a small seafood platter for two this eveningâeuros¦ The snack swallowed, in the sun, I even dropped the jacket, it's time to head back.
A lot of bars
Before getting out of the water, I want to exploit my usual area of the floating pontoons. I also take advantage of the good weather and the spectacle of the sailboats and boards which also take advantage of the window. On the pontoons, the fish are there, more modest than those of the morning, around 40 centimeters, but in number. I caught two with the famous 3 DB Jerkbait, one of the lures that has been following me for three seasons, but it is still the Deep Diver that comes to the fore.

It's almost 3pm and it's going to be time to get out of the water if I want to rinse everything off before dark. What a joy to be able to take advantage of a stolen slot on this autumn weather. My location near my launches is a definite plus. The next few days will be disturbed again, but I'm looking at a possible slot in 3 or 4 days, the kayak is ready!
