A multitude of different species
The list of species found near the beaches is very long. Among them, we find some fishes like the palomine, the rason, the lizardfish, the garfish and the oblade. All these fishes are very fun to fish, either with lures or with baits, from the shore or from a boat. You can go in search of them in any season since a rotation of the species is carried out with the passing of the seasons.
Most of these fish have a very aggressive behavior ideal for fun. The fights are very playful on light tackle as these species struggle once hooked. It is one of the ideal fisheries to begin and learn to manage a fight with a correct fish. It is not uncommon to have nice surprises and to land a nice bass or a dorado.

Fishing from a boat
Fishing on the beach from a boat is obviously not practiced in summer for the safety of bathers. However, you can orient your sessions on spring and autumn, calmer in human presence, from a boat or a kayak.
Several techniques are possible, the trolling for example, allows to fish with the lure by covering a big zone rather quickly. Most often we use small swimming fish from 5 to 9 cm or soft lures from 4 to 6 cm. You can also fish by drifting, by throwing around the boat the same kind of small lures by animating them more slowly to insist on an area.
Finally, vertical bait fishing will allow you to target the fish that stay close to the bottom and are often fond of worms, shrimps and pieces of squid.

Techniques to be practiced on board
The fish of the beach edges can be fished very well from the shore. Choose a day when the sea is slightly agitated, the fish will be less wary.
You can use small, mass-transferring jerkbaits for long-range casting, as well as soft lures. Oblades and garfish are best fished near the surface, while lizardfish and sunfish stay close to the bottom.
If you want to fish with baits, fishing with a landing will be very effective, mainly on sparids. You can also meet marbled and flatfish, but beware of the white fish and their venomous spine! Surfcasting is one of the most popular techniques on the beaches, easy to set up and can be practiced in any season.
