The cartedepeche.fr website has been hacked, take precautions

The computer system of the cartedepeche.fr website host has been hacked. What are the risks involved and how to remedy the situation?

Data stolen

The National Federation of Fishing in France (FNPF) informs the users of the cartedepeche.fr website that it has been the victim of an act of piracy. Indeed, according to the FNPF some data of fishing card holders have been stolen.

A data leakage that fortunately does not concern banking data. However, names, postal addresses, e-mail addresses, passwords and photos may have been stolen for phishing attempts.

Taking precautions

Changer son mot de passe
Change your password

It is therefore prudent not to respond to text messages, emails or even to click on links that seem dubious and that you would have received via the contact details registered on the cartedepeche.fr website. Moreover, it would be safer according to the FNPF website to change the password used to take your fishing card on cartedepeche.fr and not to use it on other accounts or websites to avoid any disappointment.

The host of the site and the FNPF have declared this attack to the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL) and filed a complaint with the public prosecutor. We hope that everything will be settled before the next renewal of the fishing cards of more than one million anglers at the beginning of the year.
