An atypical frog
The Batra X is a frog born from a long process in order to reach an atypical result within this vast family. The Batra-X has the particularity of being able to adapt to multiple situations depending on the fishing conditions encountered.
This frog measures 5.10 cm for 17.7 grams and is available in 6 colors. It is equipped with a strong iron double hook and an additional double hook.
A versatile frog
The Batra-X is versatile in terms of the options that can be added or subtracted.
- The first option is the bib
By adding this bib, the Batra-X will become a crawler. It will be able to swim from left to right with a strong wiggle and thanks to this system it can swim very slowly, even on the spot. This will allow us to fish a specific area and stay there for a long time. This important bib also makes a lot of noise when we bring the lure back in line. I use it near obstacles such as submerged trees, weed beds or stumps. The noise emitted attracts attention and makes the fish come up.
- The second option is to add a "proppeler" queue
It is mounted on a barrel swivel to allow it to rotate like a propeller. This rotation will produce a sound and a bubble trail. Unlike the first alternative, this one will allow you to fish quickly. It will obviously be possible to take breaks with it. I often use it along the edges to prospect quickly. The fact of passing quickly can attack and incite the fish to jump on the lure. The double hook built into this tail can be set in either direction, up for clear spots and down for slightly crowded spots.
- The third possibility concerns very congested areas
By removing the large crawler and the proppeler tail, you end up with just the bare body of the frog. This possibility reduces the risk of hooking, the double hook is flush with the body. I use this transformation to fish in the heart of trees, in dense grass beds or in reed beds while being serene. I animate it in "stop and go", and eventually in "walking the dog" to stay a little longer on the right area.
