Birth of the idea Fishinglures

Fishinglures a project, a story... Since I was a kid, I was already fishing in Lake Leman. As a teenager, I started to tinker with lures with the idea of improving the ones I had at the time. These tinkerings, on the whole, were rather fanciful. In spite of that, at each of my fishing sessions, both in fresh water and during my numerous tropical trips, I tested them with the conviction that this time would be the right oneâ?¦ Of course, the results most often were not up to my expectations.
My creations were not perfect, the results were not up to date and were frequently disastrous. However, this did not discourage me, promising myself each time to do better the next time... Through my tests and observation in the field, and despite random results, I eventually gained experience and my skills improved.
It wasn't until early 2013, so many years later and after countless bitter but rewarding failures that the idea came to me.
It was during a walk along a river while observing the current flowing along the pillars of a bridge that I imagined a system that is the basis of all my current creations. It was not easy, I had to create many prototypes, test them during my sessions, improve them and refine the principle. But, with time, patience and obstinacy, I managed to finalize it and the expected results proved to be much better than my expectationsâeuros¦
Project development

The basic idea is disarmingly simple. It consists of generating turbulence, pressure waves and sounds through grooves placed on the sides of a lure. These grooves channel the water to one or more circular transverse holes located in the back of the lure.
These holes, risked weakening the resistance, so I decided to cross the frame from the head ring to the tail ring by crossing the hole(s) placed in the tail. In addition to reinforcing the general resistance, I realized that this axis offered an additional anchoring point allowing the fisherman, anxious to personalize his lure if he wished by adding various accessories such as feathers, pallets, soft lures or thief hooks, the only limit being his imagination... On this crossing axis, I also had the idea to add a propeller on some models. Here again, the idea paid off.

Indeed, not content to produce turbulences, vibrations and sound waves still unknown to this day (no traditional lure of the trade does it currently) is added other types of sounds and additional bubble trails. The whole without being obliged to add noisy balls inside the lure, moreover the principle of my lures covers all the techniques of fishing with lures currently.
It is a well-established fact that these additional bubble trails, especially on surface lures such as poppers, considerably reinforce their attractiveness in fishing action.

In the end, in addition to being original, these lures prove to be remarkably effective and efficient, regularly making the difference with traditional lures, ridged or not and this especially during sessions on difficult or educated fish. But before arriving at this result and anxious to collect the opinion of fishermen more experienced than me (and they are numerous, modesty obligesâeuros¦) I submitted my creations to their expertise.
Although my principle was perfected, until then I had only considered my idea as a "trick" a little fanciful, I was wrong... In the opinion of the guides and professionals of the branch to whom I had shown my creations, all without exception found the idea absolutely interesting, very promising and for some even brilliant! I was strongly advised to market it. Naïve as I was, I thought I could do it without any other backward thinking, "there was only to do".
Fortunately for me, among these professionals were people with good advice who persuaded me to protect and patent my idea so that it would not be stolen.
Patents to be obtained

Being totally ignorant of the procedure to follow, I contacted a company specializing in this field. One cannot imagine the difficulties inherent in obtaining an international patent until one has had to deal with themâ?¦
The intellectual property law is something really complex and one should not be in a hurry when starting this kind of process, fortunately for me, I was well accompanied. After a lot of hassle, I was finally able to have the value of my idea recognized and to patent the principle which results from it internationally in these three countries: France, the USA and Japan.
The creation of the first models of lures for the sea

It is thus with the certainty of the value of my principle and the spirit released that I started to workâeuros¦ It was now necessary for me to imagine and create a whole range of lures on which to apply this principle, at first sight it was not obvious, but I succeeded. One thing leading to another, a range of lures for exotic fisheries, poppers, stickbaits and large swimming fish was born, which I tested during my travels.
The tests of the decoys

You should have seen the expression of the guides and sailors when they discovered my creations, after the first moment of curiosity, it was most often a smile and a doubtful pout poorly concealed expressing the doubt as to their effectivenessâeuros¦
It took more than that to discourage me, each time I travelled, I made a bet to fish only with my new lures, and it worked!
The success

First observation, my lures are performing well, they cast well, go far and not content with swimming well, they really interest marine predators. This did not fail to surprise everyone on board, starting with the guides and crews who have seen many different lures, but also the friends who accompanied me.
Second, they are not only on point but they catch far more fish than most of their commercial counterparts used by buddies.
This inevitably aroused the interest of everyone on board, and given the results, my friends asked me if they could also use it.
Anecdote

A little anecdote, the first day, I was always the only one to fish with it, but the next day, the buddies too and everyone on board swore by my lures! The sailors, impressed, ended up asking me in turn if they could try them, or buy them from me...
Creation of a range for fresh water

With these successes, I decided to create several ranges of lures, this time for freshwater.
After some trial and error, bingo, same results, same success! Perch, trout and pike among others were present during my trips to the water's edge.
The Fishinglures website

It is with the help of a young talented computer scientist, met early one morning on the quays of Geneva that we created a site. The purpose of this site is, through the pages, to make discover the fruit of my work to the greatest number.
It is primarily intended for the fishing world of course, professional and amateur, I present my creations, explains who I am, what I do: the principle of my lures, their modes of operation as well as many photos and technical measures.
To date seven types of lures for sea fishing and five models for freshwater representing more than fifty models are included, models that have already proven their effectiveness.
Others are currently being tested and developed, their development is not yet complete, they will appear later. I also create "custom" lures on demand.
My philosophy as a lure designer
I currently manufacture all my lures in a totally artisanal way, piece by piece, I am above all a creator, I like to imagine and create, what comes out of my hands is at the same time original, unique and functional, the very idea of reproducing by myself thousands of times a model is unbearable for me.
Therefore, mass production is not my responsibility, but I would like to share the benefits of my creations with as many fishermen as possible.
My wish now would be that a renowned company would be interested in my creations and my principle, and would tell me about its desire to produce and distribute them.

For years now, I have only fished with my creations, both in fresh water and during my exotic trips, most often with a success rate that borders on insolence.
I have a small stand at the time of too rare events dedicated to fishing allowing me to present my production, attracting curious as well as passionate, it is always the same pleasure to be able to share my knowledge with other experienced or neophyte fishermen.
I am looking forward to welcoming you, my fishermen and women friends, during your next visit to my workshop or showroom.
