The Decathlon SCD 500 dive boots are designed to be used with diving fins. Their construction is solid, with several reinforced areas. The sole is of good quality, comfortable and solid, you can walk on all types of ground without worry, whether it is asphalt, rocks or sand.
The YKK brand zipper is also of very good quality and holds well in position. The thickness of the Neoprene of 5 mm is a good compromise, which brings a good solidity, without too much harm to the mobility.
Protecting the wadders
It is important to keep in mind that the function of this boot is to protect the wadder's liner against repeated friction from the fins and when walking. It is therefore totally normal that it degrades, and it is better to have to buy every 1 to 2 years, a pair of booties at 30 euros, rather than a fishing wadders.

Choose your size
When fishing with a float tube, it is possible to fish in a bathing suit, so in this case, you need to take booties of the same size as your feet. However, if these boots are intended to be put on over the wadders, you must take at least 2 sizes larger than your feet.
This allows for the thickness of the wadders' neoprene liner to be taken into account. Even if this boot is worn over the neoprene liner, the foot remains very mobile thanks to the flexibility of the material.
