Cabesto strengthens its position in Brittany by opening a store in Lorient

After the opening of a Cabesto store in Brest in 2019, it is now in Morbihan, in Lorient, that the brand specialized in water and outdoor sports (sea, mountain, food, swimming pool) has chosen to settle.

The opening of this new 1,500 square meter sales area took place on April 28, 2022. It complements the group's 14 other stores, spread across the Mediterranean arc and the Auvergne-Rhône Alpes region.

With an investment of more than one million euros, this store has created 15 jobs in the local area, in partnership with the French Employment Office. Most of the positions are already filled, but there are still a few vacancies in the trade to be filled by specialists ready to share with the enthusiasts, future Cabesto customers.

A unique concept

Located on the former site of Chrono Drive in Plénéno, Lorient, the new Cabesto store will present its unique concept to the people of Morbihan: to bring together under one roof several universes around the sea, the mountains, food and the swimming pool. The store will feature more than 17,000 items on its shelves.

You will find all the equipment for water sports: from paddleboards, surfboards and kayaks, to diving with a compressor available in the store to fill your tanks, to underwater hunting with its large selection of crossbows, not to mention fishing with its live bait tank and its lure market.

It also presents its specialized offer for boating, adapted to the practice in the Atlantic: safety, electronics, comfort on board, maintenance and fittings. For hiking fans, the store will also offer a "mountain" section with equipment for walking or bivouacking.

The people from Lorient who have a swimming pool or wish to acquire one, will be happy to discover the swimming pool department including robots, heat pumps, water maintenance, but also above ground pools and spas.

And finally, Cabesto will touch its visitors with its grocery department composed of seafood and local products (whole fish, frozen shrimps and meat, fish soups), its world cuisine, as well as its wine cellar and its tasting rums for connoisseurs. The choice of wild products, from sustainable MSC fishing or organic farming is at the heart of the brand's concerns. The Cabesto group hopes to quickly find its place in the Lorient landscape and to satisfy its new customers for all their practices and leisure activities, as was the case in 2019 in Brest.
