The Grubs
The grub is a very interesting lure for prospecting large areas quickly. To get it into action, you often need to give it a certain retrieve speed. The vibrations then emitted by this type of lure have a definite effect on pike-perch and will tend to trigger attacks.
This type of lure was very popular on pike-perch some twenty years ago, with references such as Delalande's Sandra. Today, this type of lure is making a comeback, with more accomplished references appearing from various brands, such as the X layer curly from Megabass.

Finess
Finess are very good lures for pike-perch, especially when shads, with their strong vibrations, don't seem to be productive. Indeed, finess lures vibrate very little, and this strongly resembles the vibrations made by a small fish, which in reality moves its tail very little to move. It's therefore a lure that's very good at low drift speeds, allowing you to get into the fish's field of vision and trigger bites on fish that aren't very active.

Worms and slugs
Finally, earthworm and eel lures are versatile on many species, as they represent a common food for many of them. Pike-perch fishing with worms is nothing new, so it's logical that this type of lure works on this species.

Minimalist animations consisting of just a shake of the rod tip are well suited to this type of lure. They are less versatile than other soft lures and are best used in areas sheltered from the current.
