Lure fishing technique, popper fishing

The popper attracts many freshwater fish: pike, perch, black bass, chub, Asp, catfish... Thanks to its concave mouth, it emits sounds and sprays of water, like a carnivorous fish hunt.

For the beautiful season

The popper fishing technique is used during the summer months, as soon as the water temperature is around 15° on the surface. Below this temperature, the fish have difficulty breaking through the surface to come and get this lure.

It is possible to fish anywhere and in any water depth. Even if you are on a deep lake, the fish will come up to the surface to hunt.

Two possible animations

  • The first animation is made by small movements of the rod tip: a small pull followed by a stop, which is called "stop and go". This simulates a hunt.

  • The other animation consists in making long shots with the rod. The lure glides along opening the water, then a pause of about 5 seconds is made, then we start again. This allows to simulate a fish in flight.

A lure that brings a lot of pleasure

I wish every user of this lure the same experience I had. When you see a fish come out and grab this lure without warning, I swear that the fun of it takes you away or a small wave starting from several meters is heading straight for your popper while it is stopped, it's awesome!
