Lure fishing
Line fishing with 4 to 6 cm soft microaerosshads on a small lead head (2 to 5 g) allows you to search for redfish from the shore or from a boat. A regular retrieve allows you to trigger attacks when you succeed in fishing close to the water layer where the shoal is held.
A sawtooth animation with longer, finesse-type soft lures, letting the lure take off and then fall back, also triggers bites on descent and vertical prospecting.
Use casting jigs or micro metal jigs (2âeuros10 g) to fish far or deeper, either in fast linear mode close to the surface, or in vertical waddling/saw tooth mode.
Small stickbaits or surface or sub-surface jerkbaits can also be used when the birds are hunting and can be seen on the surface (dusk hunts, harbor lighting, etc.).âeuros

Fishing with machine guns and feather trains
The machine guns (sabikis, feather trails on several hooks) are to be animated vertically under the boat or to be brought back in traction from the shore to make numbers in the shoals.âeuros
A variation, jigging, is practised under the boat with an end lead, shaking the rig in a shoal located by depth sounder or sight.
Natural bait fishing
Servereaux can be fished with natural baits, cork fishing or bomb fishing with small baits: strips of fish, shrimp, marine worms, or small live fish (anchovy, sardine) mounted on a simple fine hook.âeuros
From the shore, cast slowly with a bomb and bait or fish from a fixed position on a float. These techniques are most effective at night or in the evening and morning when the snowshoe crabs are approaching the coast.

A simple example of starting from the edge
A simple 5 to 15 g rod with fine braid (8 to 10/100) and a fluorocarbon leader of about 1.20 m is all you need to start looking for redfish from the shore.âeuros A small 5 cm soft lure with a 3 g leaded head can also be used. Simply fan cast along docks or breakwaters, count the depth and reel in, varying speed and pauses to find the right layer of water.
