The new immersive exhibition "Ocean, immersion in the underwater world" opens at the Bassins des Lumières in Bordeaux on October 18, 2025. This gigantic digital art center, located in the former submarine base, is undergoing a metamorphosis to offer the public a truly sensory and poetic dive into the heart of the oceans and abysses.

A maritime universe to explore

The exhibition, designed by Culturespaces, envelops visitors in a monumental maritime universe, with over 800 video sequences projected onto the walls and water, accompanied by an immersive soundtrack of underwater sounds and evocative music. Audiences encounter blue whales, orcas, sharks, sperm whales, clownfish and jellyfish. Multicolored coral reefs, abysses and ice floes unfold, recreating the diversity and majesty of the underwater world, with nearly a hundred species represented in real size.âeuros

In addition to the main show, the ticket gives access to two other creations: "Trésors des fonds marins" (in collaboration with Greenpeace, focusing on preservation) and "Entropy" (contemporary creation in the Cube), extending the experience of a reflection on the beauty, fragility and necessity of protecting the oceans.âeuros

Awakening our ecological conscience

This visual and audio odyssey, as spectacular as it is engaging, is a tribute to marine biodiversity and a vibrant reminder of mankind's responsibility in the face of the vulnerability of ocean ecosystems. A visit lasts an average of 1h to 1h15, and the exhibition will run continuously until December 31, 2025.âeuros
