FNPF and RTE/Enedis renew their commitment to anglers' safety

On May 23, 2025, on the occasion of the first National Fishing Festival in Nantes, the Fédération Nationale de la Pêche en France (FNPF) and RTE/Enedis renewed their partnership agreement. A renewed commitment to accident prevention.

History and effectiveness of the partnership

The partnership was initiated in 2009. Implemented in 43 départements, this collaboration has led to a significant reduction in incidents linked to electrical hazards in recreational fishing.

Partnership objectives

Accident prevention :

The main objective remains the prevention of accidents linked to the proximity of electrical infrastructures, through targeted awareness-raising and information measures.

Prevention signage :

RTE and Enedis are deploying preventive signage in conjunction with the French fishing federations.

Accident alert :

The FNPF is systematically alerted in the event of any accident or damage to electrical infrastructure related to recreational fishing.

Communication via "Tension-Attention" :

Use of the "Tension-Attention" information platform hosted by RTE and Enedis to disseminate safety information.

Promotion of the "Ligne-Alerte" application:

The "Ligne-Alerte" mobile application is a geolocation tool enabling anglers to identify the presence of power lines near fishing sites.

Signature of the agreement

Date and place : The agreement was signed on May 23 at the Festival National de la Pêche in Nantes.

Signatories : Claude Roustan, FNPF President, Olivier Meyrueis, Enedis Regional Director for Pays de la Loire, and Lysiane Schouteeten, RTE Regional Third-Party Safety Officer.
