World Championship of Fishing Nations, France 3rd

The World Championship of Fishing Nations took place in Béthune on September 21 and 22, 2024. Two great days of competition, with the French team finishing on the podium.

A world championship of fishing nations in France

Béthune, and more precisely on the D'aire canal, was the setting for the 70th edition of the ème 27 nations, 150 anglers, were represented, including of course France. The French team was captained by Paul-Louis Lafont and comprised Arnaud Dupin, Alexandre Caudin, Stéphane Linder, Jimmy Martin, Stéphane Pottelet and substitute Emmanuel Vilain.

French team finishes on the podium

After the first day of competition, the French team was at the foot of the podium, in fourth place behind the astonishing Croatia, Hungary and Poland. The second day proved decisive, with the French team finally taking third place on the World Championship podium. Congratulations!

The Croatian team scored its first victory at a World Nations Championship, while Italy took a fine second place.
