Meeting the needs of French fishermen
The Megabass Vatalion is a lure that enjoys a very good reputation among pike fishermen. It was designed following the collaboration between French fishermen and the Japanese designers of Megabass who came to France to understand exactly the needs of our fishermen and to discover the particularities of fishing this species which is not present in Japan.

Various possible uses
The Vatalion was born from this collaboration, a lure whose swimming action leads us to classify it in the swimbaits family while its shape evokes rather the lipless crankbaits family and their high sides that pikes find hard to resist. The Vatalion adopts an S shape when retrieved in a linear fashion which makes it very easy to use. This linear action is particularly interesting in the spring when the fish are positioning themselves in the shallow grass beds.
However, the Vatalion can also be used for slower rock and weed fishing with "jerk" or "twitch" type animations followed by pauses. These animations, although a little more technical, are within the reach of all anglers. It is a question here of insisting on a marked zone and of provoking an erratic movement of the lure by means of a sharp blow, more or less pronounced, with the rod tip.

Different sizes and buoyancies
The Vatalion is available in three sizes and two floatabilities. The 115 F (floating) size is the most common and by far the most used. With its 38,5 g the Vatalion 115 F will fit on many rods used by pike anglers. The size 190 is designed for specialists of heavy fishing and the search for record fish. It is available in floating (190 mm for 133 g) or sinking (190 mm for 150 g) density. Finally, there is a smaller version (71 mm for 10 g) named Vibration X Vatalion SS whose shape differs a little bit by the presence of a small lip. This small size, even if it excels on pike, will be rather intended for "multi-species" fishing on light tackle.

Specific colors
Megabass has worked with anglers to create a range of specific colors for the lure, adapted to different bodies of water and directly inspired by the demands of French pike stalkers. There are more than 20 different colors in the range of this lure that has earned a place of choice in the boxes of French fishermen.

To conclude this quick presentation, we propose you a video where Bruno Pebe, one of the French fishermen at the origin of the creation of this lure, gives us his advice of use.
